Start - Grow - Scale

Acceler8 is an eight-module 12-week program where your business, regardless of whether it’s still an idea or has been a community pillar for generations, can put in the work and get the tools to launch it to new heights.

We’ve partnered with McGraw Hill and Dr. Jack McGourty of the Columbia School of Business to deliver a robust curriculum that will help you acquire the skills and systems to reach the next level. So whether you’re launching a new business, a new product or service offering, innovate on your existing business model. Or bring your startup to the level where venture capital and investors knock on the door.

This is the first time a program of this level has been offered in Northern New Brunswick. And Dockyard is incredibly excited to be able to accept 12 companies into our first Cohort.

Is This The Right Program For You?

The curriculum has been delivered at the graduate level in some of North America’s most prestigious institutions. Dockyard is working to adapt it to specifically match the challenges and nuances of owning a business in Atlantic Canada. Especially rural areas.

So, if you are thinking about whether this program is for you, here is what we are looking for as our criteria to what will be limited seats in our cohorts:

  • Your business/idea has the potential for high growth.
  • You have a few years of professional experience either operating a business or a leader in one.
  • You are willing to put in 12 gruelling weeks of work to test whether or not you’re on the right path
  • You are looking to bring a new idea to market, or reach a new market.

    A word from our founder

We have been working for the last 4 years trying to get a proper accelerator off of the ground in Northern New Brunswick. There is simply no denying the benefits of a rich and supported entrepreneurial ecosystem can bring to a region. And for far too long rural areas in Canada and especially in the Maritimes have been left out in the cold, underserved and vastly underfunded.

Through the years we refined the curriculum, tweaked the messaging and always strove to find a way to deliver more value to the entrepreneurs that choose our program. Each cohort will get to hear from a group of guest speakers from our extensive network that we will select to best match the needs of our cohort.

Your business can be in its 40th year of operations, or you can be just laying the groundwork for your big idea. Regardless, our program will give you the tools to succeed, and the delivery will be tailored to your business’ level of maturity.

I sincerely hope that you’ll consider applying, and if you have any questions please feel free to book a call with me to discuss.
